All they need to do is to put together a way for the people of the Caymans to get the fish to American markets!

I've been trying to find the fish in markets or online for over a year now, since I read about the invasion in the Caymans, but no luck. I've read they are very good to eat, and I want to do my part to help this disaster! It's so upsetting these days to eat fish, knowing that so many are being harvested in an unsustainable manner, we always have to question and wonder "is this fish okay to eat? am I ruining the ocean?"

I would LOVE to eat lionfish, knowing I am HELPING, not hurting.

Send them to America and we will eat them ALL! :)

I would have to say that light tackle fishing for spanish during an easy coast run would be my choice. Nothing beats the fight, fun, and fish fry you can take away from such a day. It is also an awesome time to teach a friend or child the basics of casting and reeling in a fish. Awesome post!

How is this 'undercover' when shark fin sales and processing is completely legal in Asia and anyone can just walk into a shark fin business and take pictures? I understand that groups want to stop shark finning, I do too, but why are we couching a global open business model as some shady, dark, secretive business?

Sean, what percent of those fins were part of the legal 200 tons of shark fin that NZ exports each and every year?

Nice work, but deeply flawed, you have an agenda. Start by stopping the legal trade which is right on your doorstep. If you cannot even do that, then why bother at all?

A Nassau grouper bit my middle finger, and then aggressively kept hitting me when I dove the south side of Little Cayman in December. Are they being trained to attack lion fish by divers? Everyone was surprised by the grouper's behavior--I was in an all-out fist fight trying to keep it away from my face. Whenever any animal is fed, its behavior changes. Grouper is back on the menu as far as I'm concerned.

Although black marlins are not yet endangered, we should not add them to this endangered list. The participation of Guy Harvey and Neil Patrick, in the name of science and the conservation of our marine life, is to tag the black marlins and release thereafter unharmed. I noticed Dr. Harvey donned in marine suit [probably one of his lines of sports wear] during the shoot out in the Panama sea.

Since watching Shark Water I've had a new found respect for sharks. Thanks for writing this post - I found it through CNN. It's a bummer that sharks are so misunderstood... They're not so dangerous to humans. The prey behavior aspect is something I hadn't read about... Pretty interesting.

I love sharks. My bonehead brother decided it would be chic to serve shark at his wedding rehearsal dinner and I refused to eat it. I hate that we are so stupid when it comes to these magnificent creatures. We need them!
